CHEF Apinya

​the artist behind the CULINARY craft

Yes, Thailand is amazing!  Friendly people, diverse geography, a rich culture, and exceptional cuisine that is appreciated worldwide.  A two-hour road trip traveling northeast from Bangkok is the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, Korat,  for short,  where Chef Apinya grew up.   Korat is still a gateway city today although it once marked the strategic boundary between Lao and Siamese (Thai) territory.

Chef Apinya’s contagious smile,  along with her wonderful talent for preparing unique Thai & Asian sauces and gourmet dishes was passed down from her grandmother,  Charida.   Recipes are simply a list of ingredients and steps outlined for others to follow.   For Chef Apinya, alongside her grandmother and Aunts, known by many as the “three (3) sisters,” their culinary library evolved, built upon Thai tradition, matured over time, and seasoned with training, skill, and love. 
 
Personal discipline, quality, and creative guardianship keep Chef Apinya dedicated in the kitchen the majority of each service hour.  Many of the restaurants’ patrons are “frequent fliers.” who found out coming early affords them an opportunity to say hello and share in her charisma.  Chef Apinya's love for cooking is a result of her wonderful talent and great satisfaction from those who enjoy it!

TOMO - SUshi Shisho

​Sushi Shisho  (Master):   
Tomo graduated the prestigious Tsuji Culinary Institute in Osaka, Japan where he developed his skills within the challenging restaurant environment over there.  Along with the experience toward his profession he also learned that creative and artistic presentation was of equal importance.  

A unique set of circumstances and opportunity brought Tomo to London where he worked in the Culinary Department for Japan Airlines (JAL) for a number of years.  His personal desire to learn and grow led him to Seattle, Washington where he and his family moved to become part of the team at a well-known and celebrated restaurant there. 

After 7 years, the need to take care of a family member had him move to Martin County, Florida where he has resided ever since.  Timing, chemistry, and luck has brought Tomo to Bo Lan restaurant to work alongside Chef Apinya. 

Those who appreciate Sushi...will appreciate Bo Lan's Sushi Shisho!
